Saliu Mustapha, the All Progressives Congress, APC candidate in the Kwara Central Senatorial race, has again fulfilled his promise of $1500 to the Kwara United football club after the team.

This came following the victory recorded by the Kwara United football club against RS Berkane of Morocco in the CAF Confederation cup.

The two football teams played the Second Round Preliminary First Leg at the Mobolaji Johnson stadium in Lagos state on Sunday.

The football team from Morocco had a fantastic beginning, as it led in the first half after scoring a goal six minutes into the game.

In the 73rd minute, Kwara United footballer, Ahmad Taofeek amazed the spectators as HW scored a fantastic equalizer.

The narrative of the game changed, as Wasiu Jimoh and Barnabas Daniel scored the winning goals a few minutes to the end of the game.

The amazing football outing made the Kwara United football team qualify for the cash prizes earlier promised by the Green Chamber hopeful (Mustapha).

The Informant247 recalls that the Turaki of Ilorin (Mustapha) had in September made an announcement of cash prizes of up to 20,000 USD for the football team if the league of the team was won by them.

Mustapha had earlier made a promise of 500 USD for every goal scored and the sum of 10, 000 USD, if they move beyond the group stage to a next level.

Mustapha said that his gesture was a way of supporting the vision of the Governor of the state, Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq’s to place the state on the big stage using sports and other activities.

The Informant247 gathered that this would be the second time Mustapha will fulfill his promise for the two football matches played by the Kwara football team in the Confederation game.
