Buhari wins ward for APC with wide margin
President Muhammadu Buhari on Saturday March 18, cleared his ward for the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in the governorship and state assembly elections.
The collation officer for the ward, Hamza Yusuf, announced that the APC had 261 votes; the PDP secured 32 votes and NNPP did not get any vote in the election.
In the state assembly elections, the APC got 240 votes while PDP 50 votes.
The president has implored voters in the state, Kastina State to collect money from political actors and vote for the candidates of their choice in the ongoing governorship and state assembly election.
The Nigerian leader made this revelation after casting his vote at polling unit 003, Sarkin Yara A in Daura, Katsina State.
The president did not openly showed off his ballot paper like he did in the February 25 presidential election which generated heavy criticism from the public.
