President Muhammadu Buhari, on Monday, commiserated with the Emir of Ilorin, Dr. Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari; Kwara Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq and the Tijjaniyah Movement in Nigeria on the demise of the Grand Khalifah of Tijjaniyah, Kwara State, Sheikh Abdulrahman Yusuf Maiyaki.
Buhari, in a statement by his Senior Special Assistant on Media and Publicity, Garba Shehu, prayed that the almighty God will accept his return and grant him Aljannah Firdaus.
The statement reads in part, “The President also condoles with the Emir of Ilorin, Alhaji Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari, the Ilorin Emirate, the Maiyaki family of Ilorin and the entire Muslim Ummah on the passage of the frontline teacher of Islamic education.
“As a preacher of note, President Buhari affirms that the late Sheikh was an embodiment of peace and will be sorely missed for his tranquil disposition and representation in all matters.”
