The Kwara State House of Assembly on Thursday postponed resumption of plenary sessions by 4 days.
The Clerk to the State Assembly, Hajia Halima Jummai Kperogi, in a statement in Ilorin, said lawmakers would reconvene for plenary on Tuesday 15th December, 2020.
Recall that THE INFORMANT247 had earlier reported that the governor of Kwara State, AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq will present the budget for the 2021 Fiscal Year to the Kwara State House of Assembly on tomorrow Friday, December 11, 2020.
This new announcement has, however, put the budget presentation at a standstill.
Though, no reason was given, but it was gathered that the new development might be as a result of the crisis rocking the All Progressive Congress in the state following the dissolution of the state excos and constitution of caretaker committee by the Party’s NEC.
A chieftain of the Party in the state, Barr. Akogun Iyiola Akogun had alleged that the State Governor, AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, is putting all mechanism in place to block the inauguration – also scheduled for tomorrow (Friday) – of the erstwhile Party Chairman, Bashir Omolaja Bolarinwa as the newly constituted caretaker committee chair.
