Belgore, Muritala attain ICIArb Fellowship

Kwara State has recorded another professional milestone as two of its prominent indigenes, Mr. Dele Belgore, SAN, and Barrister Sambo Muritala, have been elevated to the rank of Fellow of the Institute of Construction Industry Arbitrators (ICIArb).

The investiture took place at the Institute’s 34th Fellowship Investiture and Membership Induction Ceremony held on Saturday, June 6, 2026, at the Lagos Continental Hotel, Victoria Island, Lagos.

The ICIArb Fellowship is regarded as the highest professional recognition in construction dispute resolution and arbitration, conferred on individuals who have demonstrated exceptional competence, integrity, and significant contributions to the field.

Muritala, a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (UK) and Special Adviser to the Kwara State Governor on Legal Matters, described the honour as a call to greater service and professional excellence. He is also an alumnus of the National Institute for Policy and Strategic Studies (NIPSS) and a participant in the Advanced Management Programme (AMP 45) at the Lagos Business School.

Speaking after the ceremony, he expressed gratitude to God, his family, mentors, colleagues, and the Kwara State Government for their support throughout his career. He commended Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq for fostering an enabling environment for young professionals to contribute meaningfully to governance and development.

Muritala noted that the recognition should inspire young Kwarans to prioritise personal development, professionalism, and integrity, stressing that discipline and hard work remain essential for success.

The elevation of Belgore and Muritala underscores the growing prominence of Kwarans in professional circles, both nationally and internationally.

However, the good people of Kwara state have expressed their heartfelt congratulations to the two legal practitioners, wishing them continued success in their contributions to the legal profession and the construction industry.
