Bandits attack Southern Kaduna community, kill 8 persons

Bandits have invaded Atak’Njei, Ungwa Gaiya community, Zangon Kataf local government area of Kaduna State, reportedly killing 8 persons in a renewed attack. 

The chairman of Zango Kataf local government, Mr. Francis Sani confirmed the sad development, saying that the bandits invaded the community around 9pm Wednesday night.

Sources within the affected area said the bandits launched an attack on 7 houses and they gunned at least eight persons down while many others sustained various degrees of injury.

He charged the security agencies to ensure the arrest of the assailants who carried out the attacks in Atyap land.

The Informant247 recalls that bandits, few weeks ago killed ten persons in the Langson community in the same council.

Shehu Sani reveals identities of 2 persons behind kidnappings in Northern Nigeria

The former federal lawmaker, Senator Shehu Sani has revealed the identities of two notorious bandits who are allegedly terrorising and kidnapping people in the North.

The socio-political commentator said cases of kidnap would not cease in the region as long as Bello Turji and Ado Aleru are moving about freely in the country.

The former Kaduna Central Senator, made this revelation as a reaction to the kidnap of 80 persons in Zamfara State.

The Informant247 recalls that bandits abducted over 80 children in Tsafe Local Government Area of Zamfara State on Friday April 7.

The victims of kidnap were between the ages of 12 and 17.

The victims’ parents disclosed that their children were in the bush when the bandits invaded the scene and whisked them away into the forest.

Sani accused the government over its failure to save the lives and property of Nigerians.

He insisted that the sad development would continue to linger until the two notorious bandits are arrested.

Sani tweeted: “The Kidnapping of 80 people in Zamfara state, northwestern Nigeria by terrorists.

“As long as the likes of Bello Turji and Ado Aleru are at large despite all the Air bombardments, abduction of people in those rural communities will not cease. The Govt has failed to secure lives.”
