The National Association of Nigerian Students has vowed to shut down all private universities in the country if the ongoing industrial action by members of the Academic Staff Union of Universities continue. The National Association of Nigerian Students has said it would meet the Federal Government and Academic Staff Union of Universities with a view to prevailing on them to end the nine-month-old strike embarked on by the university lecturers. The Igbomina Project Network America (IPNA), has donated some mobility equipments to a family of three living with disabilities at Oyate Oro-Ago in Kwara State. The organization, founded by Igbomina indigenes living in America and reputed for providing basic health facilities to rural habitants in Igbomina land, donated two tricycles to ease the mobility of members of the family. Former Deputy Governor of Kwara State, between 2003 and 2011, Joel Ogundeji has said the state government still pays him N900,000 monthly as pension. He said the monthly pension pay is part of the pension packages that included N156m worth of four bedroom bungalows as recommended in the Kwara State Pensions Law 2010 for former governors and deputy governors.
