Men of the Lagos State Police Command has arrested no fewer than 43 person for allegedly violating COVID-19 protocols in the state. The National Primary Health Care Development Agency (NPHCDA) has released the details of how the first batch of COVID-19 vaccine doses will be distributed across states. Faisal Shuaib, executive director of the NPHCDA, had said the country will receive 100,000 doses of the Pfizer/BioNTech vaccine at the end of January. The National Universities Commission has directed Vice-Chancellors of Universities to commence academic activities on January 18. The announcement was in compliance with the directive of the Presidential Task Force on COVID-19. The Islamic Republic of Iran will produce one and a half million doses of a homegrown vaccine within the next 30 to 40 days, said the director of Headquarters for Executing the Order of the Imam after meeting with the researchers who produced the vaccine. An Ilorin-born Commissioner of Police, AbdulKadir Lanre Jimoh, has passed on. The Police boss aged 56 was until his death the Commissioner for Police in Cross River State. Kano state government, on Tuesday, shut down private and public schools in the state. The Kwara State Family Court has ordered the remand of fourteen years old Abdullahi Sherif who allegedly strangled and raped a minor in the bush while defecating at Iji, Owu Isin area of the state.
