Atiku donates N50m to flood victims in Jigawa

The presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Atiku Abubakar has donated N50 million to victims of flood in Jigawa State.

While visiting the Emir of Dutse, Alhaji Dr Nuhu Muhammad Sunusi in his palace on Friday night, Atiku made the donation.

He sympathised with the state and the victims of the flood based on the devastation brought to them by the incidence.

Atiku, who also visited the palace of the Emir of Hadejia for the same purpose, promised to come back for the second round of his campaign as a presidential candidate in the 2023 general election.

He stated that Dutse and Jigawa state is his home and that he will come at any time he wishes to.

Reacting to Atiku’s gesture, the Emir of Dutse, Alhaji Dr Nuhu Muhammadu Sunusi appreciated the visit and the money donated to the flood victims, assuring the PDP presidential flagbearer that the money would be distributed directly to victims of the flood as the it is important to them.

On his part, the Emir of Hadejia, Adamu Abubakar Maje, however, thanked Atiku Abubakar for his tireless efforts in visiting flood affected states.
