Femi Falana, SAN, a counsel to the striking Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU), on Thursday, vowed to sue the Federal Government for registering the Congress of Nigerian Universities Academics (CONUA) and the National Association of Medical and Dental Academics (NAMDA).
The Informant247 had reported that the Minister of Labour and Employment, Chris Ngige, had, on Tuesday, presented certificates of registration to CONUA and NAMDA.
However, ASUU had reacted to the registration of the two unions, saying that Federal Government can register as many unions as possible, it won’t stop them from their demands.
While featuring on Channels Television’s Sunrise Daily on Thursday, Falana described the registrations of the two unions as illegal, stressing that ASUU is going to court.
“ASUU is going to court. It is going to be the National Industrial (NIC),” Falana said.
