APC reps candidate Ajakaye thanks party members, seeks unity ahead of 2027 poll

The candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) for the Ifelodun/Offa/Oyun Federal Constituency in the 2027 House of Representatives election, Dr. Rafiu Ajakaye, has expressed appreciation to party leaders, stakeholders and members for their support following his emergence as the party’s flagbearer.

In a statement issued on Thursday, Ajakaye described his emergence as a product of the confidence reposed in him by members of the party across the constituency.

He also acknowledged other aspirants who contested the party’s primary, describing them as respected leaders and worthy compatriots who contributed to strengthening the democratic process within the APC.

According to him, the conclusion of the primary election should mark the beginning of a united effort to secure victory for the party in the 2027 general election.

The APC candidate appealed to party members and supporters to remain united and continue to work together in the interest of the party and the development of the Ifelodun/Offa/Oyun Federal Constituency.

“With the primaries now behind us, I humbly seek your continuous support, understanding, solidarity and goodwill as we prepare for the 2027 general election. Together, let us work tirelessly for the victory of our great party at all levels,” Ajakaye said.

He said collective commitment and solidarity would be crucial to ensuring the APC records victory at all levels during the general election.

Ajakaye also thanked the leadership of the APC at the national, state and local levels for providing what he described as a transparent process.

He particularly appreciated the support of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Kwara State Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, pledging to justify the confidence reposed in him.
