APC reacts as Atiku’s wife mistakenly tells Nigerians to vote APC
The spokesperson of the presidential campaign committee of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Festus Keyamo, has reacted to the manner the wife of the presidential candidate of the People’s Democratic Party, PDP, Titi Abubakar, mistakenly persuaded Nigerians to vote for the APC.
The wife of the presidential candidate made a mistake while addressing Nigerians to get their voter’s cards and vote for his husband’s party.
In the video which has gone viral on social media, the wife of the presidential candidate mistakenly told the people to get their voter’s cards and to vote for APC, before she later quickly corrected herself at the event.
According to Titi Atiku: “On 25th of February, everybody should come, if you have not collected your PVC, go and collect your PVC, get it ready on the 25th February we should vote APC”
While reacting to the development, Keyamo in a Twitter post stated that what happened was a slip of tongue and that there was no need for anyone to create issue out of it as she has immediately corrected herself.
According to Keyamo: “Wife to Atiku, Titi Abubakar, has just urged Nigerians to vote APC on February 25th next year. In all honesty, this is obviously a slip of tongue, but we hold the view that it is unreasonable to make a mountain out of such molehills, especially when you quickly correct yourself”
