A Borno House of Assembly member-elect in the March 18 2023 elections, Dr. Nuhu Clark has passed away.
The lawmaker-to-be for Chibok State constituency in Borno State House of Assembly has died.
Report has it that he gave up the ghost in India on Monday while receiving medical treatment.
The death of the lawmaker-to-be was confirmed by the state Commissioner for Home Affairs, Information and Culture, Babakura Abbajatau, in Maiduguri, the capital of Borno State on Wednesday.
The commissioner said the state government would release an official statement after speaking with the deceased’s family.
The deputy governor of the state Umar Kadafur, described the passing of the lawmaker-elect as a big loss to his family, residents of Borno State.
He described the passing of the politician as a great loss to the All Progressives Congress APC considering his outstanding performances for the development of the state.
He sympathized with the family of the politician and prayed that Almighty God give the family the fortitude to bear the loss.
The deceased politician was a former Commissioner for Poverty Alleviation.
He resigned on April 25, 2022 to vie for the Chibok State Constituency seat on the platform of APC.
