APC members defect to PDP in Baruteen | The Informant247
Scores of All Progressives Congress (APC) members, on Thursday, defected to the opposition Peoples Democratic Party in Baruteen Local Government Area of Kwara State.
The ‘decampees’, led by the Wali of Okuta, Alhaji Alhassan Saidu, said the open abuse of power, 751 million contract inflation of Ilesha Baruba-Gwanara road, lack of regard for the rule of law, and maladministration of the present government in the state reasons for dumping reason for dumping the ruling party.
They added that their defection from the APC to PDP was because of the ability and readiness of the opposition party to defend the interest of the people and renew the confidence of the masses in government.
Also, a former APC Secretary of Okuta ward in the local government, Bonnie Gedion, who also decamped alongside others, stated that his choice of becoming a committed member of PDP in the state was because of the insincerity of APC in the state.
