Antonio Conte’s resumption to Tottenham after surgery confirmed

Antonio Conte has been billed to return to Tottenham on Sunday ahead of the Champions League clash against Inter Milan.

Conte had remained in Italy following the first-leg last month, a 1-0 defeat at San Siro, to recover from gallbladder surgery.

Tottenham Assistant Coach, Cristian Stellini in Friday’s press conference ahead of the Premier League trip to Wolves confirmed that the Head Coach will be back on Sunday.

“Antonio is fine, he cannot wait to come back. The medical department decided to leave Antonio’s comeback until Sunday, after the match at Wolves,” he told the club’s website.

“Because that is one month after the surgery. That was the agreement from the doctor who did the surgery and our medical department” he said

During Conte’s absence, Spurs secured back-to-back 2-0 victories in the Premier League against West Ham and Chelsea.

They also suffered a shock exit from the FA Cup at the hands of Sheffield United and require a turnaround in the second-leg against Milan at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium next week to qualify for the quarter-finals of the Champions League
