King Wasiu Ayinde Marshal, popularly called KWAM 1 or K1 De Ultimate, the renowned Fuji icon, has sent a strong message to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu over the current situation of the country
KWAM 1, who sings in Yoruba, lamented the situation in a viral video of one of his recent stage performances while appealing to the President to address the widespread hardship in the country, saying Nigerians are weeping.
K1, who sang on Tinubu’s campaign grounds preparatory to the 2023 general elections, expressed worry over the suffering Nigerians were going through, blaming it on the fuel subsidy removal and a persistent fall in the value of the naira, adding that the developments harmed purchasing power and raised inflation, thereby increasing the poverty level.
The Fuji maestro also called on those making money off the pain of the masses to bury their heads in shame, urging the President to pay close attention to the people’s grievances and treat them seriously.
K1, however, appreciated Tinubu’s charitable endeavours and appealed to Nigerians to be patient.
“I beg you to find a way to alleviate the suffering of the masses. The people are weeping and sobbing. We’re suffering because there isn’t enough power available. How did things come to be as they are?” K1 sang fervently in the video.
“I beg you to solve these issues,” he added.
