Rapper Oladips apologises to Nigerians over death hoax

Following a recent death hoax perpetrated, famous Nigerian rapper Oladipupo Oladimeji, popularly known as Oladips, has apologised to Nigerians for “the confusion” while insisting that it was “never a prank”, stating that he was “very sick.”

Oladips, while featuring in an interview with Naija FM in Lagos, said, “To Nigerians and my core followers, I will never play with people’s emotions like that. It was never a prank. I was sick sick. I am really sorry for the confusion, the false alarm and everything. I take full responsibility.

“I’ll make sure I’m surrounded by professionals going forward. Since I believe that’s where the issue originated. I’ve gone through a lot, like having my manager steal from me and wish me dead. I eventually reached the point where my manager was no longer with me. It was just me and my boys.

“All I’m attempting to do at the moment is make sure the individuals I choose are professionals who understand what’s appropriate to do. No be person wey because he no hear from my mum, he feel like, ‘Ah! This guy don die.”

He claimed that his manager would not have misbehaved if he was truly a professional.

“That is why I said I take full responsibility. So, I’m really sorry. Make una forgive me abeg.”

The Informant247 had earlier reported how Nigerian Rapper Oladips, earlier said dead, held an Instagram live session with his fans, promising to share reasons for the death hoax, adding that this would be as soon as he feels better.

The rapper was reported dead on November 11 after suffering from a health problem.

Meanwhile, there was a controversy about the reported death as some persons said it was a publicity stunt.

In further drama surrounding the rapper’s death, the rapper’s obituary post was taken down on Thursday while a brand-new video was uploaded to his Instagram profile.

However, the Rapper, coming out for the first time after the death drama, during a live video session on Instagram, the rapper promised to share reasons for the death hoax

“When I feel like I’m good enough to address everybody, I’ll come on live and tell you people my side of the story. Na wetin I con tell you people be that. Pray for Oladips.”

The development comes eight years after another singer, Skibii, made the headlines over the death hoax.

However, Nigerians, especially those who sent condolence messages, had expressed shock over the drama.
