65-year-old man arrested for defiling 10-year-old girl in Kwara
The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, NSCD, in Kwara State said it has arrested a 65-year-old widower, Samuel Darisa, for allegedly defiling a 10-year-old minor, Bello Memunat Muhammed.
The alleged offence was said to have been committed at Agbadam area of Ilorin, Kwara State capital.
Parading the suspect at the command’s headquarters in Ilorin, on Friday, the Commandant, Mr Makinde Iskilu Ayinla, said the suspect was picked up, after a tip-off by a concerned neighbour who caught them in the act.
He said the suspect confessed to have committed the crime.
Ayinla added, “The minor consented to the illicit affair since it was not one time he had canal knowledge of the minor.”
The suspect is expected to be charged to court after the completion of investigations into the matter.
