4 Civil Defence personnel abducted in Kogi

It was an unfortunate occurrence as some unidentified hoodlums have abducted four officers of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defense Corps, NSCDC, Kogi State command.

The informant247 gathered that 11 people were carted away in the confluence State just about four days ago, as six innocent persons, including a law school student were kidnapped earlier on Sunday.

Our medium learnt that the officers were on Thursday afternoon kidnapped on their way to Benue state to take their promotion examinations.

A reliable source privy to the hapless incident said the officers were commuting in an official vehicle when they were abducted around Ajegwu Junction on Itobe Anyigba highway Kogi State.

He further stressed that they were five in the vehicle but one of the officers broke free from the one of the miscreants while they were being taken to an obscure destination.

He said the alleged kidnappers are demanding a ransom of thirty Million naira N30m from victims’ families.

When contacted, the Kogi State Commandant Nigeria Security and Civil Defense Corps, NSCDC, Mr. Peter Samuel Maigeri could not confirm the incident as of the time of filling this report.

However, the Police Public Relation Officer, PPRO in Kogi State DSP William Aya confirmed the incident but failed to go into specifics.
