A man, Kehinde Hammed, was on Tuesday arraigned before a court at Ibadan over alleged stealing and burglary.
36-year old applicant, appeared before an Iyaganku Chief Magistrates’ Court in Ibadan, over alleged stealing and burglary.
The police has charged Hammed, who lives at Ariori area, Idi – Aro area, Ibadan, with a two – count of stealing and breaking into house.
Insp Olufemi Omilana, the Prosecuting Counsel, informed the court that the defendant on November 12, around 5:30 p.m. at Idi – Aro area, Ibadan, allegedly invaded the residence of Olabisi Omole, the complainant.
Omilana made an allegation that the defedant dispossessed the complainant of the sum of N40,500 cash, and one Itel A56 phone worth N30,000 totalling N70, 500.
He revealed that the offence was in contravention of the Sections 390 and 411 of the Criminal Code Laws of Oyo State 2000.
When the matter was read to the defendant, he however pleaded not guilty to the charges.
Mrs Munirat Giwa -Babalola, the Chief Magistrate, admitted the defedant to N500,000 bail plus two sureties in like sum.
The Chief Magistrate has adjourned the case until February 1, 2023, for hearing.
