2027: Saliu Mustapha urges peaceful APC primaries, backs Gov AbdulRazaq for Kwara Central senate seat

The Senator representing Kwara Central Senatorial District, Saliu Mustapha, has called on members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kwara State to conduct themselves peacefully during the party’s primaries taking place across the state.

Mustapha, in a statement issued on Monday by his Media Assistant, Nasif Sholagberu, urged party faithful to participate actively in the exercise while maintaining peace, unity, and mutual respect.

The senator also expressed support for the aspiration of the Governor of Kwara State, AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, who is the sole aspirant for the APC senatorial ticket in Kwara Central ahead of the 2027 general elections.

According to Mustapha, AbdulRazaq’s emergence as the lone aspirant reflects the confidence and acceptance he enjoys among stakeholders and members of the party across the state.

He said the development underscored the belief among party leaders that the governor deserved such recognition because of his contributions to the growth and stability of both the APC and Kwara State.

“The emergence of Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq as the sole aspirant for the Kwara Central Senatorial District ticket is a testament to the confidence and trust reposed in him by leaders and members of our great party,” the statement quoted the senator as saying.

Mustapha wished the governor and other aspirants contesting various positions in the primaries a peaceful and successful exercise.

He also appealed to APC members to remain united before and after the primaries in the interest of the party and the continued progress of Kwara State.
