Super Falcons of Nigeria will hope to continue their high flying and impressive performance when they face England in the round of 16 of ongoing FIFA Women’s World Cup at Lang Park, Brisbane on Monday.
Speaking ahead of the game, Super Falcons head coach, Randy Waldrum said that his girls will use their athleticism to overcome England in the encounter.
England has been on the high side of the tournament, with their 100% record at the group stage pushing the narrative of tournament favour to their side.
England pummelled China 6-1 in their last group game on Tuesday- a clear message as title contender.
However, the Super Falcons Head Coach believes the nine-time African champions will triumph over the European Champions, noting that they will capitalise on their speed and power to beat English team.
“The one difference between us and China is that they don’t have our speed and our strength,” the American told reporters.
“China was organised but England was too powerful and played around them.
“We will have to use our strengths to neutralise England” he said.
