2 persons die, 4 injured in road accident on Lagos-Abeokuta expressway
Two persons have lost their lives while four other persons sustained various degrees of injuries in an auto crash which involved a truck, a motorcycle and commercial bus around Conoil Bus-Stop on Lagos-Abeokuta highway.
The incident was confirmed by the Ogun Traffic Compliance and Enforcement Corps (TRACE) on Tuesday.
The Commander of TRACE at the Owode-Ijako Unit, Mrs. Temitope Oseni, while confirming the incident to newsmen in Ota, said that the tragedy occurred at about 10: 03 p.m. on Monday.
The commander narrated that a Daf blue truck having AAA 094 XT as registration number, was traveling to Abeokuta from Sango-Ota and lost control as a result of overspeeding, and collided with a a Bajaj motorcycle with registration FFF 416 XY and a commercial Mazda bus with FKJ 509 XX.
She added that six were affected by the accident in which two people lost their lives, while four others sustained severe injuries.
“The corpses of the victims had been taken to State Hospital, Ota, while the survivors are receiving treatment at the same hospital.”
Oseni sent message of advice to motorists not to over speed and drive recklessly, so as not to lose lives and property.
She further sent message of advice to them to always make sure that their vehicles were in good condition before they embark on journey.
