Schools remain shut indefinitely in Lagos

The Lagos State Government has disclosed that all private and public schools below the tertiary institutions level remain closed down indefinitely in a bid to contain the second wave of Covid-19 pandemic

A statement issued by the Head of Public Affairs, Lagos State Ministry of Education, Mr. Kayode Abayomi noted that the recent directive makes it mandatory that all schools earlier scheduled to resume on 4th of January, 2021, must remain closed until a new resumption date is announced.

While noting that a new resumption date would be communicated in due course, Abayomi urged parents and students to ensure strict adherence to safety guidelines to prevent the spread of deadly disease.
