The presidential candidate of the People’s Democratic Party, PDP, Atiku Abubakar has called on the people of Adamawa State to vote for him massively, as this would be the second moment the party will be giving him the presidential ticket to contest the country’s presidency.
He made this revelation while addressing a crowd of supporters of his party who converged at the Ribadu Square in Yola, the capital of the state.
The presidential candidate said the people of the country have shown generosity to Adamawa people; hence there’s need for the state to reciprocate the good gesture with unprecedented number of votes.
The presidential candidate advised the people to cast their votes for the PDP candidates all through and should not allow themselves to be misled by any other person or political platform.
“This is where the future of our state and the country resides—the PDP. I want to appeal to you to make sure that you vote for the PDP, from top to bottom, from bottom to top. Don’t allow yourself to be misled by any propaganda by anyone.
“I don’t have to tell you what I am going to do for Adamawa State and the North East because you know me,” he added.
The political figures who were present at the rally were governors of Adamawa, Ahmadu Fintiri; Akwa Ibom, Udom Emmanuel; Edo, Godwin Obaseki and Sokoto, Aminu Tambuwal.
