Displaying an inspiring act of compassion and benevolence, renowned philanthropist Amb Yahaya Seriki Gambari has come forward to make a substantial contribution towards assisting young Abdulhayy Modibbo in his battle against Waardenburg Syndrome.
Diagnosed at just 4 years and 6 months old, Abdulhayy faces the challenges posed by this developmental disorder, including hearing loss and various associated symptoms.
Following his diagnosis at the University of Ilorin Teaching Hospital, Abdulhayy’s condition requires immediate medical intervention, including a Cochlear implant and essential rehabilitation procedures.
Given the urgency, the surgery must be undertaken before Abdulhayy reaches the age of 5.
In a heartfelt gesture, Amb Yahaya Seriki Gambari has generously donated ₦2 million towards supporting Abdulhayy’s medical journey, offering a glimmer of hope for his health and a promising future.
While the total cost for his medical requirements stands at ₦10.5 million, this contribution sets an example for the entire community to rally behind this noble cause and contribute to securing Abdulhayy’s chance at a normal and fulfilling life.
With the current funds available to the family slightly exceeding ₦8 million, they remain in need of additional financial assistance to complete the required treatment funds.
Expressing his gratitude, Abdulhayy’s father, Imam Ahmed, offered his prayers for Amb. Yahaya Seriki’s continued blessings and success.
He emphasized the profound relief this donation brings to his family, and fervently hoped that Seriki and his family are spared the anguish that Abdulhayy’s parents have endured throughout
