Some residents of Ibadan, the capital of Oyo State, are still worried over the sudden disappearance of a 59-year-old woman, Dupeola Muritala Tijani.
The Informant247 has gathered that Tijani, who lives in the Adekile area of Ibadan, was not seen on Saturday.
There were assumptions by sources that she must have been kidnapped.
It was gathered that the woman, with the nickname Iyaleko, was last sighted around 5 pm after she attended and left a party on Saturday.
Report has it that Mrs. Tijani was returning to her house when she was allegedly kidnapped between 6 and 7 pm.
The matter had been reported at Agugu Police Station.
The woman’s husband, Mr. Muritala Tijani, has confirmed that the wife has not been seen for a while.
Mr Tijani, via a telephone conversation with newsmen on Tuesday, revealed that, “I am the husband of the woman that was declared missing. We have not seen her since then.
“We have been looking for her since Saturday.
“She went to a party around 5 pm, she was coming from the party, but suddenly taken away few metres to the house.
“The incident occurred between 6 and 7pm. We have reported the matter at Agugu police station. But, we have not seen her up till now”.
All effort to reach to the spokesperson of the police in the state, Adewale Osifeso, proved abortive.
