- World Cup Qualifiers: Eguavoen Replaces Wilfred Ndidi With Innocent Bonke
The interim Head Coach of Super Eagles of Nigeria has invited FC Lorient midfielder, Innocent Bonke to replace Leicester City’s midfield maestro Wilfred Ndidi.
The Informant247 Nigeria News gathered that Bonke replaces Ndidi ahead of the crucial World cup qualifiers clash against Ghana, due to injury.
Ndidi was injured during Leicester City’s Europa Conference League tie with Rennes last week and would be out of action for some time.
“Camp update: Innocent Bonke has been called up as a replacement for injured (Wilfred Ndidi) for the World Cup qualifiers games against Ghana. Get well quick Wilfred, (sic)” the team tweeted on its official handle, Sunday evening
Bonke made his debut for the Super Eagles last year’s September in a World Cup qualifier game against Cape Verde, which Nigeria won 2-1.
While the first leg of the qualifiers holds in Ghana on Friday, March 25 the reverse fixtures will hold four days later in Abuja
