The famous Nigerian musician, Folarin Falana popularly addressed as Falz has revealed why he stood against the victories of the presidential candidate of the ruling All Progressives Congress APC, Senator Bola Tinubu and the Governor of Lagos State, Babajide Sanwo-Olu in the just concluded elections.

He said he stood against their victories because the Independent National Electoral Commission INEC did not follow the rules it announced before the conduct of the elections.

The Nigerian talented rapper made this revelation while granting a television interview.

He said: “To say the least, the rules and regulations that were supposed to guide this election were not applied.”

The Informant247 recalls that the musician proceeded to studio and released a song to criticise the chairman of the electoral commission, Professor Mahmood Yakubu.

Falz said the INEC chair refused to follow rules that he announced himself in the build up to the elections.

He alleged that “suddenly the process became non-transparent” adding that “it was clear that there were some foul plays involved.”

While speaking on his new song which was titled Yakubu, he said the INEC chair acted like a fraudster.

Falz said: “Yakubu was an account of events as they transpired during the last couple of months.”

He said the song was simple and self-explanatory.

The Informant247 recalls that the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) announced Tinubu as the winner of the February 25 presidential election.

According to INEC, Tinubu came victorious with 8.8 million votes.

The presidential candidate of the main opposition Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Atiku Abubakar came second with 6.9 million votes, while Peter Obi, had 6.1 million votes.
