We’re not kidnappers, we’re freedom fighters — IPOB
The Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, has disputed the claim that members of the body were kidnappers.
The group affirmed that it has no connection with kidnappers.
IPOB said the claim of the Katsina State Police Command that it kidnapped one of the members of its military arm militia, otherwise known as the Eastern Security Network(ESN) in Katsina.
The Informant247 recalls that the State Police Command on Tuesday revealed that one 19 year old David Eric Uchenna aka Ibrahim Muhammed was on Tuesday arrested in the State, after an intelligence report was revealed by some of his confidants.
The body added that the police’s claim was laughable and undermined the police institution.
A statement released on Thursday by the scribe of the IPOB, Emmanuel Powerful, revealed that the group has never been a party to any kidnap exercise.
He explained that responsibility of the ESN officers’ was the protection of forests and land and to secure the farmers of Biafra from the any attacks or invasion of the herdsmen.
