Mallam Saliu Mustapha, has said that he would no more respond to any letter originating from the opposition candidate, Mr. Bolaji Abdullahi.
Mustapha has said he would no longer dignify any letter produced by the opposition candidate or any other opponents, with any response.
This was contained in a statement signed by Gidado Shuaib of the Directorate of Media & Strategic Communications of Saliu Mustapha for Senate (SMS) Campaign Organization 2023.
The statement revealed that it’s not in the habit of the Turaki of Ilorin to exchange verbal abuses with anyone.
It stated that Mustapha has articulated his points, and it’s left to the people to make judgement.
The statement further revealed that Mustapha was much concerned about matters that will foster progress and common wellbeing of the citizens.
The statement partly reads: ”Moving forward, it is the wish of the Turaki to continue to focus on the engagements with the electorates who look forward passionately to conversations on issues that will elevate their socio-economic wellbeing as citizens.
Shuaib has appreciated stakeholders, and leaders and well meaning individuals who extended solidarity over the issue.
”We thank all well-meaning leaders of thought, community stakeholders, and public-spirited individuals, among others, who showed genuine concern over the incidence.
”We reiterate once again that we would continue to be civil and decent in our public engagements. This is the minimum, irreducible standard we have set for ourselves as a campaign organization, no matter the temptations to do otherwise.”
