We have settled intra-party disputes in 11 states in three months – Buni
Chairman of the Caretaker Committee of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) Governor Mai Mala Buni on Tuesday said his committee has successfully put an end to intra-party skirmish in eleven states just within three months.
He disclosed this while inaugurating the party’s 12-man Reconciliation and Election Committee for Bayelsa Central and West Senatorial districts led by Gombe Governor Mohammad Yahaya.
The Caretaker Committee Chairman, who was represented by his Secretary, Senator James Akpanndoedehe, said the committee has within the same period attracted to the party some highly placed members of the opposition.
“Today, we proudly parade political heavy weights like the former Speaker of the House of Representatives Hon. Yakubu Dogara; Former PDP National chairman, Senator Barnabas Gemade; several members of the National Assembly, Chief Jimoh Ibrahim; former Head of Service of the Federation, Mr Danladi Kifasi; Sen. Isa Hamma Misau, Alhaji Salisu Takai and several others while, many others have also indicated interests to join the party.”
The chairman noted that the committee recorded successes due to the support of the stakeholders, further maintaining that the top hierarchy of the party is intent on resolving unnecessary disputes within the party.
Yahaya stressed that the committee would ensure the reconciliation of all the differences in the two senatorial districts of Bayelsa and ensure victory for the party at the election on October 31.
