VAT-Tussle: Kano Assembly summons revenue agency’s chairman
The Kano State House of Assembly has summoned the Chairman of the Kano Internal Revenue Service, Abdulrazak Salihi, to appear before it over activities of the Board.
It was reported that the summon may not be unconnected to the recent move by Lagos and Rivers governments to impose and charge VAT on certain goods and services.
The Majority Leader, Labaran Madari (APC Warawa), in a matter of urgent public interest, moved the motion for the invitation of the chairman during plenary on Monday.
