Uzoho happy with performance despite loss to Man Utd

 

Nigeria Super Eagles and Omonia SC goalkeeper, Francis Uzoho has expressed his delight over his performance on Thursday night in their UEFA Europa League game against Manchester United.

Uzoho was impressive in between the sticks as he went on to kept a phenomenal 12 saves in the match, keep the match goalless for 93 minutes.

“I am very happy to play against Manchester United.I am so very happy of my performance today against the big players
We played very well as a team but I would have preferred we got at least a point here today at the old Trafford” an elated Uzoho said after the game.

Appreciating his teammates for their efforts, he espoused his love for Manchester United and his age long dream to play at the Old Trafford.

“I really appreciate my team mates for their show of courage and efforts. I used to be a Manchester united fan and I have been preparing to face them right from the time I saw the draw. My performance today was arguably my best ever performance so far” he enthused.

After UEFA Europa League match day four, Omonia are currently sitting rock bottom of Group E with no point from their last four games.

A one sided game which saw the Red devils dominating the match all through, it had earlier looked as if the Reds were going to be held, until Scott McTominay tucked away a low shot with two minutes to go to break the deadlock.

Manchester United now have Nine points from four games and are second on the log behind Real Sociedad, 12 points.
