Unknown gunmen kidnap Kaduna chief’s son

Gunmen have kidnapped the son of the Chief of Fadan Ayu in Sanga Local Government Area of Kaduna State.

The incident was confirmed to newsmen by the Ayu Traditional Council Secretary, Jibril Adamu Muhammed.

He narrated that the traditional ruler was the main target of the gunmen as they proceeded straight to his room and started shooting sporadically.

Muhammad added that the abductors later called to discuss conditions for his release but they refused to negotiate with the victim’s mother who was on the call with them.

They said they wanted to negotiate his freedom with the victim’s father.

He said; “They fired many gunshots on his door but God protected him. Having found it difficult to reach the chief they took away his youngest son, Sahabi.

“Since then they have not called. We are still waiting for their call.”
