Unknown gunmen kidnap DPO in Plateau

Bandits have kidnapped the Divisional Police Officer, DPO in Pankshin Local Government Area of Plateau State. 

Report has it that the police boss, popularly addressed as SP Lareee, was kidnapped, Thursday, January 12, 2023, at WOKTORI Hotel in Pankshin.

The Informant247 learned that the police chief was just resuming work in the area as the DPO, a day before the incident happened.

A policeman in the area, on Thursday night, revealed that the DPO was abducted by the bandits after shooting at him in his hotel room.

“The DPO was just posted to Pankshin about three days ago. He was staying in a hotel in Pankshin and was in that hotel when the gunmen came and shot him before taking him away. Since then, we have not seen him.” the source said.
