Unknown gunmen kidnap 2 businessmen in Nasarawa
There was worry in Garaku, Kokona Local Government Area of Nasarawa State, following the kidnap of two business persons.
They were kidnapped by unknown gunmen who stormed their homes in the Dadin Kowa area of Garaku on Wednesday.
A source within the community informed newsmen that the unknown gunmen shot recklessly before dragging their victims away to an unknown location.
He said that no one died during the activities of the kidnappers, reaffirming that it lasted for about one hour.
An aide to the local government area council chairman, while confirming the kidnap, said the victims were Nigerian nationals of Igbo extraction who had resided and carrying out their trades in the communities for over 20 years.
He has called for normalcy and expressed optimism that the security agencies had since been informed and would secure the release of the victims unhurt and bring them back to their families.
