Four unidentified men has survived an automobile accident in the university of Ilorin premises on Wednesday, February 17 at the Pepsi area, Adjacent the school clinic.
The accident which occured around 4pm, involved a Black KIA Venza, plate number LFF-208TA with four men in it. Over speeding during a car race with two other cars was said to have been the cause of the accident.
According to an eyewitness, Ibrahim, a 100 level student, faculty of Arts, the KIA Venza won the first race, sormasulted coming back from the second race with only the driver injured on his head.
He Said “KIA Venza won the first race with speed, they talked again and went for the second race, this time they passed through the bakery side, coming back, the car loosed its balance, hit some concrete and sormasulted twice, there were four guys in the car, only the driver had a bruise on his head”.
Another eyewitness who pleaded on anonymity said ” I was charging my phone at Pepsi when they walked in discussed for few minutes and decided to go for a car race, after the first one which the Venza won, they parked and sat for few minutes before deciding to go for a second round on their way back, the Venza tumbled and four guys came out of it with the driver pulling off his shirt to cover his bleeding head, had it been my phone was charged, I would have filmed the whole thing”.
