UNIBEN Management reacts to killing of student, calls for calm

The authority of the University of Benin (UNIBEN), has spoken against the gruesome killing of a final-year student of the school.

The student whose identity was not revealed but fondly addressed as Mayor was reported to have been murdered by a gunman, in one of the halls of residence of the institution.

The office of the Vice Chancellor has released a statement, imploring students to remain peaceful as security operatives are already working around the clock to the institue the arrest of the suspected criminal and bring him to book.

The VC gave an assurance to the students and their parents that the security agents within the school campus will prevent the reoccurrence of the incident.
