UNGA: Nigeria’s economy moving forward under Tinubu, says Gov AbdulRazaq

AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, the Kwara State Governor and chairman of the Nigeria Governors’ Forum (NGF) has said that Nigeria is moving forward under President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

AbdulRazaq, while speaking with newsmen after leading other governors to a meeting with the President ahead of the United Nations General Assembly in New York on Monday, expressed hope that the ongoing reforms in the country would yield significant benefits for the citizens.

He said, “Nigeria is moving forward. Our doors are open for business and investment. You can see from the recent pronouncement of the federal government on subsidy removal exchange rate liberalisation that things are beginning to move forward. The stock exchange is now more robust than ever.

“For the economy, wait for one year, and you see where Nigeria will be. When you embark on reforms, there are some slight adjustments, which we are going through. Like I always say, it’s like the pains a pregnant woman goes through during pregnancy. The joy of childbirth is what you see next year,” he added.
