U17 Women’s World Cup: Nigeria’s flamingos to face Germany in third place final

Nigeria Women U-17 team also known as Flamingos will once again be trading tackles with their German counterparts in the third place final of the ongoing FIFA U-17 Women World Cup holding in India.

The gallant Nigerian team fell 6-5 on penalties to the Colombians on Wednesday in their semi-final game.

Spain also defeated Germany girls in another semi-final match on Wednesday to set up the losers final between the latter and Nigeria team.

The third place final will be a replay of their opening group stage match where the Flamingos surrendered their first half lone goal to lose 2-1 to Germany at regulation time.

Flamingos will be hoping to take revenge against the German side as they set sights on bronze medal in their fourteenth appearance in the tournament.

The third place encounter will hold on Saturday while the final between Columbia and Spain will take place on Sunday.
