Kwara decries low turnout at health facilities, commences statewide advocacy

Two Kwara monarchs get staff of office

Governor of Kwara State, AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, on Monday, presented staff of office to new Olupako of Share, Oba Haruna Olawale Suleiman; and the Olusin of Ijara-Isin, Oba Ajibola Ademola Julius as the traditional rulers of their respective communities.

Presenting the staff of office to the new traditional rulers, Gov. AbdulRazaq charged them to “always believe that traditional institutions are great enablers of cohesion, peace and socioeconomic and political development in the society”.

The governor posted on his verified Facebook page, “As an administration, we followed the rules and respected the traditions and culture of the affected communities in the emergence of the new monarchs without undue interference. To the glory of God, their royal highnesses are the popular choices of their people. I therefore congratulate them, their families, the kingmakers, critical stakeholders, and the people of their communities.

“No one is crowned except it is ordained by Almighty God. I therefore urge their Royal Highnesses to be grateful to God for honouring them with the thrones of their forebears.”
