The former Prime Minister of the United Kingdom, UK, Tony Blair on Tuesday, visited Nigeria’s President-elect, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, in Abuja.
This is coming barely a week before Tinubu’s inauguration, which is coming up on May 29.
Tinubu, while disclosing this through his verified Twitter handle, said that he had a fruitful discussion with the ex-UK prime Minister, which is based on areas of mutual interest.
He tweet: “I received former British Prime Minister and founder Tony Blair Institute for Good Governance, Mr Tony Blair, at the Defence House, Abuja, earlier today. We discussed areas of mutual interests and how Nigeria can continue to benefit from the amazing work of the Institute.”
It was learned that the vice-president-elect, Kashim Shettima and the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Femi Gbajabiamila, were among those present during Blair’s visit
