Pantami’s son found in Bauchi checkpoint hours after allegedly kidnapped
The son of the Minister of Communication and Digital Economy, Professor Ali Isa Pantami, who was kidnapped, has been reportedly found at a checkpoint in Bauchi.
According to Daily Trust, the Minister’s son, Alamin Isa Pantami, was found on Friday at a checkpoint in Dambam, a Local Government Area in Bauchi State, some hours after he was allegedly kidnapped.
Police in Niger parade two suspects over kidnapping, banditry, recover firearms
The Niger State Police Command has paraded two suspects, one 25-year-old Bello Ibrahim arrested at Mashegu forest, and 20-year-old Umar Dauda of Fulani camp, Kapako village at Lapai Local Government Area, in connection to kidnapping and banditry.
While parading the suspects in Minna, the state Police Public Relations Officer, PPRO, DSP Wasiu Abiodun, said the two were arrested based on credible information.
According to him, Ibrahim, who hails from Bafarawa via Isa LGA of Sokoto State, was among the bandits that kidnapped two victims at Ukachi and Magama villages of Mashegu LG for ransom last Saturday.

The Police in Adamawa have confirmed the arrest of two suspects in connection with 1,000 sachets of Tramadol concealed in a Television and Sound speakers in Yola.
ASP Sulaiman Nguroje, the Police Spokesperson in the state, confirmed the development to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Thursday in Yola.
Nguroje said that the suspects; Kabiru Muhammed, 41, and Musa Abubakar, 29, were residents of Hotoro and Takum in Kano and Taraba states, respectively.
Ekiti govt evacuates lunatics, beggars from streets of Ado for proper rehabilitation
The Ekiti State Government has ordered the evacuation of no fewer than 11 lunatics and miscreants from the streets of Ado and Ikere Ekiti for proper rehabilitation.
The state Commissioner for Women Affairs and Social Development, Alhaja Maryam Ogunlade, disclosed this in Ado Ekiti.
She said that the exercise was aimed at providing proper care as well as psycho-social support for genuine beggars, miscreants, and lunatics, adding that they would be reintegrated into society and their respective families as soon as they are fit enough to do so.
