Tinubu, Gov Wike meet in Port Harcourt, Rivers

The presidential flagbearer of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), Bola Ahmed Tinubu, has met with the Governor of Rivers State, Nyesom Wike.

The meeting which took place at the Government House, Port Harcourt, the capital of the state was attended by influential chieftains of the ruling party.

The Informant247 understands that the meeting may not be unconnected with the much anticipated February 25, 2023 presidential election.

The meeting took place following Tinubu’s presidential campaign rally at the Yakubu Gowon Stadium, Elekahia, Port Harcourt, the capital of the state.

Meanwhile, a chieftain of the party and the former Governor of Rivers State, Rotimi Amaechi was not present at the presidential campaign rally on Wednesday.

Amaechi who’s regarded as the foremost leader of the party in the state was absent at the presidential campaign rally and this has raised concern and doubt about his support for the presidential candidate of the party.

There were rumours that the former Governor was not coming out to the public domain to campaign for the presidential candidate because of the Muslim-Muslim ticket subscribed to by the party.
