Tinubu embarks on 10-day working vacation in Europe

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is set to depart Abuja today, September 4, for a working vacation in Europe as part of his 2025 annual leave.

Bayo Onanuga, Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, confirmed in a brief statement that the “vacation will last 10 working days.”

During this period, President Tinubu will travel between France and the United Kingdom before returning to Nigeria.

This trip follows a recent 12-day diplomatic mission to Japan and Brazil, which also included stopovers in Dubai and Los Angeles.

On August 15, the president left Nigeria, making a brief stop in Dubai, UAE, before arriving in Yokohama, Japan, on August 18.

While in Japan, he actively participated in the ninth Tokyo International Conference on African Development (TICAD9). His trip to Brazil included discussions with President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva and other officials, resulting in the signing of several memoranda of understanding covering aviation, foreign affairs, science and technology, and agriculture.

President Tinubu returned to Nigeria on August 28 after his diplomatic engagements. Earlier in April, he spent 19 days in France and the United Kingdom on private visits.
