Tinubu/Dogara 2023 presidential ambition gains momentum as posters surface
Barely fews weeks after rejoining the ruling party, the All Progressives Congress (APC) posters of the erstwhile Speaker of the House of Representatives, Honourable Yakubu Dogara as running mate to Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu ahead of the 2023 presidential election have surfaced.
The posters further authenticate insinuations that the former Governor of Lagos State might be harbouring presidential ambition, thus, springing up suspicions that Dogara is intent on clinching the Vice president slot.
Last week, Dogara was reportedly locked in a closed-door deliberation with Bola Ahmed Tinubu in Lagos State. Present at the meeting were: Minister of Education, Adamu Adamu, Bauchi Central Senator, Haliru Dauda Jika and Bauchi State APC chairman, Uba Ahmed Nana.
While reacting to the development, the Coalition of United Political Parties (CUPP), berated that Yakubu Dogara was enticed to the APC under the pretext of Northern Christian VP slot to Tinubu.
CUPP, in a statement signed by its spokesperson, Ikenga Ugochinyere said: “I hope they have not used the propaganda of northern Christian Vp to Tinubu to lure my very good friend to the party that night not survive the upcoming intraparty 2023.’
