A Nigerian football Referee, Mustapha Mohammed Bello has been killed by a thunderstorm.
The announcement of his death was contained in a statement jointly signed by the Chairman of Niger State Referees’ Council, Umar Mohammed and Secretary, Mohammed She on Tuesday.
“NRA family regrets to announce the death of Mustapha Mohammed Bello, Nigeria National League(NNL) Referees from Niger State (Football) Referees’ Council.
“Mustapha died this afternoon while officiating a football match at Suleja through a thunderstorm. May the Almighty Allah grant his soul eternal rest”.
The deceased has now been buried in accordance with islamic rites.
