Three killed, others injured in fatal auto crash along Ilorin-Ogbomoso highway

Three people were killed while others were injured in a fatal auto crash (road accident) along Ilorin-Ogbomoso highway in Kwara State.

Three people, on Saturday, lost their lives in a fatal accident that occurred at Otte town along the Ilorin-Ogbomoso expressway.

According to DAILY POST, it was gathered that several others sustained degrees of injuries in the auto crash.

The auto crash which involved two vehicles, a pepper-laden Mistibushi pickup and a black Toyota corolla private car had a head-on collision, according to eyewitness accounts.

The accident sources who gave an account of the incident revealed that the auto crash was caused by excessive speed.

The Sector Commander, Federal Road Safety Commission, FRSC, Jonathan Owoade, confirmed the accident when contacted on phone on Saturday.

Owoade said three persons died, while others sustained fractures and head injuries.

He added that the injured victims were taken to the state General Hospital, in Ilorin, while the corpses have been deposited at the morgue.
