Sequel to the speculation making the round in the social media that some forces within the All Progressive Congress are masterminding the removal of the Kwara State Chairman of the All Progressive Congress, Bolarinwa Omolaja Bashir, a renowned party stalwart, Lawyer Kunle Sulyman in an interview with theinformant247 beamed a searchlight on the issue.
Barrister Sulyman, while feeding questions from our correspondent at his palacious residence in Ilorin disclosed that he is not in the know of plot to remove Bolarinwa Omolaja Bashir as chairman of Kwara State Chapter of the APC, noting that as a party chieftain, he has no reason whatsoever to hide under the veil if he conceives justifications for the Chairman’s removal.
He further stressed that he has headed off several provocations by some mischievous quarters to link his name to the purported predicament rocking the party chairman, clarifying that the chairman removal was being staged by disgruntled executive members of the party who were averse to Bolarinwa’s style of leadership as chairman of the party.
Responding to questions on clash over party leader, the much reverenced APC leader disclosed that any plot to subject the party to Saraki-like dictatorship will be greeted with sheer indignation, adding that some individuals within are aggrieved because they failed in their conspiracy to reduce the governor to their puppet and hijack the party structure.
He maintained that control and leadership of party in any state is an exclusive preserve of the state governor.
Speaking on Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq’s recent political appointments, the septuagenarian assured Kwarans of dividends of democracy, claiming more appointments will be made soon to accommodate capable hands who supported the Ó TÓ GE struggle.
“The people of Kwara should be patient with Abdulrahman, they will enjoy dividends of democracy the type they have never seen before in their life and he is set to transform Kwara into a modern State, a state that all of us will be proud to claim is ours. So, we should be patient with him,”
“Second, those politicians who feel they have not benefited from dividends of democracy the governor so far has not appointed more than his chief of staff, personal aides. He has the right to apoint anybody of his choice. He has only made four appointments out of over 150 available appointments and these four appointees are specialists in their respective fields,” he added.
